How to Reset Benz ME9.7 ECU with CGDI Prog MB Benz?

 

This is the procedure on how to use CGDI Prog Benz Monster to reset/renew Benz ME9.7 ECU.

Procedures:

Build wire connection between ME9.7 ECU,CGDI MB programmer and computer

Open CGDI Benz software,click “Wiring Diagram”,then select “ECU”à”ME9.7” to check the your connections are correctly.

Select “Auto Computer”,then click “Read”

After reading process completing,you can see vehicle information on the software.

Click “Get” to get erase password

Wait for process…

Erase password calculated successfully

After then click “Erase” button

9

 

Erase successfully

And now you can read the ECU information again to check ME9.7 status.

KESS V2 V5.017 Introduction: Kess V2 V5.017 can read and write ECU via OBD2 port directly, no need to disassemble the ECU from the car. The problem with some ECU’s, is that you can’t read them over OBD (except on some original/high priced tools) and for that reason you may need KTAG to read a full BDM, unlock TPROT (if it’s available), write the modifications back with KTAG and then you can use KESS over OBD to read/write.   Here’s the  step ： STEP 1:  Plug KESS into car’s OBD-II port   STEP 2:  Plug KESS into laptop’s USB port   STEP 3: Launch KESS software   STEP 4: Read/Write data to vehicles EEPROM ECU chip   What’s more, tuning/remapping is completely safe because you can backup and restore original ECU data back to car in 1-click. Instruction about Reading and Writing on Volvo GPT vehicles with KTAG ECU Programmer.

  This is a Ktag help file used for Volvo Bosch EDC17 on GPT vehicles.   To use this protocol of communication you have to remove and open the ECU.
